Hi, I'm Emma. I completed my PhD in 2019 and I am an Associate Lecturer in writing, literature and culture at Deakin University (Melbourne, Australia). My research focuses on femininity, girlhood and postfeminism in contemporary texts for young people. I’m passionate about the role texts have in the lives of young women and how they understand gender and feminism. I am interested in all things feminism, literature, digital media, pop culture, veganism, music, and social politics.
